The Captain
Captain Troy Pate
I was born and raised in Goldsboro, NC. I have spent most of my life around the coast and in/on the water whether it be surfing, surf fishing, inshore fishing, king mackeral tournaments and offshore fishing. I soon realized my dream would be to somehow work on or around the water, which I am finally doing with the start of my charter business. I also run a carpet cleaning and disaster restoration business.
I currently hold a USCG OUPV license. I plan to add a towing endorsement, and eventually hope to provide some delivery services as well. I am finally ready to fulfill a life long dream of chartering fishing trips on the beautiful waters of the Crystal Coast.
After spending a day on the water with me, you will realize that I have a true passion for fishing and boating. I enjoy taking people out and teaching them what I know about the sea, and also learning about them and what they do. There is not much that compares to the beauty of the world that God has created, and being able to share that with others.
Services Available
Our primary function is to take you offshore our boat and show you a great day of fishing on North Carolinas's beautiful Crystal Coast - some of the finest Big Game Fishing available in the world!!
That being said, I do offer some other services which may be of interest to you:
- I can take you and your party for a beautiful sunrise or sunset cruise, or we can take the boat and do a combination of inshore fishing and a day of play in the protected waters behind Shackleford Island or Cape Lookout. We can take an extended trip to Ocracoke, mix in a little fishing with some cruising - let me handle all the details!
- I am also available to go with you aboard your vessel and teach you what I know for a day or more. I can supply all the tackle and bait, or just show up and use what you have. I am more than happy to help teach anyone that truely wants to learn more about the water and how to SAFELY participate in using our resource. We can spend the day working on rigging, or I can run the boat for you, or most anything in between.
- I am available on my boat or yours for most of the tournaments in NC and surrounding states.
- I am always happy to handle your boat delivery for you, either with my crew or along for the ride with you. Let us take the hassle out of running up or down the coast - whether it is a seasonal move or just in time for a tournament. I have other USCG licensed Captains who would be ready to go along with me to ensure a quick and safe journey.
