Vessel Information
The James Joyce II is a 2002 model custom built "Carolina Style" 51 foot fishing boat with a huge 16'3" beam. Her beautiful lines and large bow flare really make her stand out in a crowd. She was designed to provide a comfortable ride and to be a very stable fishing platform. She is powered by 2 strong Detoit Diesel engines to allow her the speed and safety factor you want for those long trips offshore. Furuno Navnet gps system, radar, 3 VHF radios and then a nice stereo with cd player in the salon round out the electronics. She has 3 seperate AC units, a microwave and a nice sized CLEAN restroom!!
The bridge is nice and open with plenty of room for folks who want to see what it all looks like from a little higher. There are benches on either side of the helm and our guests are welcome to come up and enjoy the ride with me, provided the seas don't get too sporty! There is also plenty of seating in the heated and air conditioned salon to keep you comfortable and out of the elements if you so choose.
The cockpit is huge, allowing plenty of room for everybody to get in on the action. She has a massive Release Marine fighting chair to allow anglers of all ages and sizes to put the heat to a big fish! The massive 800# insulated fish box is ready to hold your days catch and get it back to the dock nice and fresh. We keep a full compliment of first class tackle to meet any and every situation we find - 30, 50, 80 and 130# class tackle (both Shimano and Penn) as well as some spinning tackle. Whatever we run into, we will have what we need to get it done!
